May Day flats

When we had May day in 2008, the drama club had to paint the flats. This is because the part teacher went and got pregnant, had a sub teaching her classes, then said that she didn't want the class painting the flats when she wasn't there. So the Drama Club ended up painting those stupid flats. Well, we had two weekend days and about a week of school days to paint and design the stupid things. There were 6 of them by the way. At first we were going to do a night time city background and it was going to look really cool. We finished painting the characters the day before the first assembly. It was like 11 -12 pm by the time we finished and we still had no background. We also had no time to do the city and let it dry the next day 'cause the first showing was in the middle of the day for the little kids.
Then, my friend (and coincidentally the one who outlined all the characters) decided that we could do the explosions behind the characters. I was so glad that we decided to do that 'cause I would have gone insane if they didn't have a background...

Oh, another annoying thing. I wasn't even supposed to be part of the flat painting but I ended up being the only one to stick it all the way through. I think I helped paint everything but the spider and Wolverine. I painted all of Hawk Girl and Spider Man. Then I painted most of Superman and wonder Woman. It was terrible... I didn't like the actual painting of the people, but I'm proud of how it turned out. It was really cool in the end.
